This Old House of Pests

I bought a home for a cheap price a few months ago. The home was quite the fixer upper, having many problems and broken things. The plumbing was messed up, the windows were broken, the roof needed repair, and it was overridden with pests. Any normal person wouldn’t want to buy this home, but I wanted to make the home look new again, and sell it for quite a profit. Calling pest control in NYC was an easy job, because I already had a company in mind that would be able to do the job for me. Everything else was just a matter of calling plumbers and repairmen.

I figured the pest control was the most important job, because no repairman wants to work while having to deal with pests crawling all over him. There were bugs, rats, spiders, and even a rabbit that was living underneath the porch. It was like some kind of Noah’s Ark, but for pests. Animal control was able to take away the rabbit, so the pest control people could spray without killing it. They laid down traps for the rats, and used various pesticides and gels to get rid of the bugs and spiders.

The pest treatment for this house wasn’t something that could be done in a single day, because the house was in such a bad shape. The pest people had to come back to the house multiple times over the course of a month, but eventually they were able to get rid of all the pests. The home was free of everything living, and the pest people were confused as to why I would even bother trying to save the house. I told them that I wanted to sell it, and they understood, but still agreed that it was too much effort.
